A Child Grows in Brooklyn.com is an in-depth and comprehensive resource for Brooklyn parents. Along with an excellent blog on parenting issues, it links to a vast collection of everything kid-related. From birthing and post-partum support to childcare and schools, activities, shopping, events, and book reviews, this site is a great first place to check and explore.

Bococa Parents is a network of parents residing in BOerum Hill, CObble Hill, and CArroll Gardens (and the surrounding) neighborhoods of Brooklyn. The group's mission is to establish community and communication among Bococa’s families and to provide children with opportunities in which to play, cultivate friendships, and establish their roots. The group is a forum for the exchange of information about parenting and community issues. Parents actively discuss hot topics, arrange playgroups, share activity ideas, find and sell items, discuss childcare…and more. The group offers free online support and information low cost social events and activities for infants, toddlers and their families.
  
Park Slope Parents is a fairly extensive guide to parenting resources in Park Slope and environs.
Its Yahoo Groups (groups.yahoo.com/group/parkslopeparents and groups.yahoo.com/group/parkslopeparents_classifieds) with over 5,000 members, are open to parents in the neighborhoods surrounding Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York with children of all ages. They exchange information about nearby activities and parenting issues such as "where's the best place to get shoes that fit?," "does anyone have an idea of how to get a baby to take a bottle?" The group is "gently" moderated.
